Thank you for sharing your best facial
cleanser recipe
Drake!

As anyone who has ever grown mint, it can literally take over a garden if you aren't careful. Drake puts his excess mint to good use in this natural skin care recipe.

Drake enjoys collecting fresh mint to make his special exfoliating minty fresh facial wash recipe.

Mint has significant rejuvenating properties.  Due to its wonderful skin care benefits, it is a common ingredient used in many OTC skin care products.

The use of mint creates the best facial cleanser recipe due to its exceptionally potent source of menthol, having strong antibacterial properties which if often used in cleansers, astringents, toners, and moisturizers.

The medicinal and anti-aging properties of this popular herb includes:

  • Rich source of antioxidants
  • Brightens complexion with a gentle exfoliation
  • Anti-inflammatory, soothing irritation
  • Hydrates
  • Tones and firms
  • Treats blackheads and acne
  • Natual skin lightener, fading age spots
  • Diminishes dark under eye circles
  • Stimulates circulation

Mint also makes any natural skin care recipe smell absolutely divine so don't hesitate to throw in a few fresh, finely chopped leaves. You can even add mint to a bowl of hot water to give yourself a facial steam and aroma therapy treatment all at the same time!

The Best Facial Cleanser Recipe

Minty Fresh Face Wash

  • 1/3 cup fresh mint leaves, finely chopped
    (or use a mini-food processor)

  • 1 tablespoon kosher or sea salt
(the salt crystals are larger than regular table salt which provides for better exfoliating action)

  • 1 tablespoon commercial soy-based facial cleanser like Aveeno if you prefer a foaming cleanser  -OR-

  • 1/4 cup virgin coconut oil

Mix together well.

Apply to facial skin in a circular motion then rinse with warm water.

Drake admits that he cheats just a little bit when making his mint facial cleanser by adding a store bought face wash product but he likes the foaming action that it gives the recipe.

Drake further explains that he prefers to use a super-rich soy based facial cleanser such as an Aveeno product which is reasonably priced and readily available.
