What Are Good Natural Remedies for Dry Skin?

I'd love to know of some natural remedies for dry skin. I've struggled for years with dry, red, itchy skin. I also get patches of eczema, especially on my face.

Nothing seems to work. I'm not a fan of using prescriptions too much because I know they can have harmful effects over time. I'd like to try using natural remedies but I don't know where to start.

Are there any natural remedies for dry skin that will work for me? I have very fair, sensitive skin and a ton of skin care treatments that don't work!

Hi, I find that using vaseline every night works. I have also suffered from this and everything else I try makes it worse :)

Coconut Oil for Dry Skin
by: Melanie

Wow.. you've got eczema too?

I will buy coconut oil to try. . .

I've tried literally hundreds (thousands?) of products over the years. I bet I've got 30 bottles of lotions, creams, oils...

Normally oils don't work as they flare my itchy red skin... but maybe coconut won't.

I have tried some essential oils too like peppermint, tea tree, etc.

Here Are Some Remedies for Dry Skin

Hi Wendy,

I am constantly fighting off eczema too.

Have you tried all natural coconut oil?

You can get it right in the natural food isle of your grocery store. Just rub a little on right after you get out of the shower. It's my new favorite!

For patches that get especially dry and look like they are heading towards eczema, apply Vaseline to them at bedtime. Both of these strategies work really well for me.
