Aging Skin Issues

I've noticed that after age 50, the magazines do not address aging skin care issues for us older women.


I am 72 and still very active and still care about my appearance and health.

Age spots, peeling areas on my face and unruly eyebrows concern me.

Anything for women in my age-group would be helpful.

Hi Betty,

You had me chuckling over your "unruly eyebrows"! Mine tend to become overgrown faster than I can blink my eyes, complete with a uni-brow. They are just horrible. . .

But I do have a solution for you. Go to a spa and get your eyebrows professionally trimmed and waxed. It makes a world of difference and it isn't even very expensive. (And we are worth it aren't we?)

I do what I can to keep up with them between visits but I can't tell you what wonderful tricks those professionals have that can reshape your eyebrows and get them looking under control.

Go splurge on yourself! It won't be more than $20 for the first visit and usually half of that for follow-ups.

Hi Betty

I loathe those awful "old age spots" too.

I have tried Aloe Vera (from the plant) and olive oil so far, to no avail. (There is one other product I've tried but I can't for the life of me remember what it was!)

I hope some clever person has the solution for us! Good luck.
