Shea Nut Butter
A Perfect Natural
Anti-Aging
Skin Care Treatment!
Shea nut butter is a versatile natural
anti-aging skin care treatment with an amazing range of facial
rejuvenating properties.
Organic shea butter can be used in literally a
gazillion different DIY homemade anti-aging skin care treatments to
produce wonderful results for younger, healthier skin.
Shea butter is made from the fruit of the Shea tree which is found
in West and Central regions of Africa.
The nut is harvested from the
tree, crushed and boiled which extracts the vegetable fat producing raw
shea butter.
Although organic shea butter has a wide
range of uses such
as a cooking oil and a substitute for cocoa butter in chocolate, it is
best known in the cosmetic industry as a versatile ingredient in high
end skin, body and hair care products.
Shea Butter is rich emollient,
moisturizing and medicinal properties.
In addition, it
is one of the few natural substances that have the unique ability to
provide protection from the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays. (It acts as
a purely organic, natural sunscreen with up to a UV protection factor
of SFP 6!)
For years the cosmetic industry has capitalized
on the natural attributes of shea
butter. . .
Among its extensive list of attributes Shea Butter has an
impressive
ability to promote healing of many skin conditions as well
as acts as a rejuvenator for a variety of aging skin
symptoms
including:

- Age Spots
- Sun Damage
- Discolored Skin
- Acne
- Fading Scars
- Chapped Lips
- Burn Relief and Treatment
- Eczema
- Dry Skin
- Psoriasis

In a word. . . Wow!
The
natural healing properties of Shea butter make it a wonderful
ingredient for anti-aging skin care. . .
Shea butter has a very low melting point so that when it is applied
to the skin it changes from a semi-solid state to a liquid state which
is readily absorbed into the skin.
It is non-greasy and has a very
faint fragrance. (Although the unrefined shea butter can have a rather
pungent aroma, it does dissipate very quickly after application.)
The best form of shea butter to use in order
to achieve maximum results is either in the raw, unadulterated state or
the Class A, the highest quality grade produced.
Oganic Shea Butter can easily
be found in stores that carry natural products as well as in the
natural food isle in many markets, department and grocery stores.
Note:
The fresher the shea nut butter, the better. Like many all natural,
organic substances the potency of the healing and rejuvenating
properties of shea nut butter diminishes over the course time.
