Acne may have started in your teen years, that time when age and hormones meet to cause those awful breakouts.
Or,you may have begun experiencing acne breakouts in your adult years. Either way, many people find acne bothersome or embarrassing. To reduce acne and get rid of scars you should need to use a good scar cream.

No Such Thing as Adult Acne!
by: Janet

At age 56, I was tired of dealing with breakouts my entire life. Always just a few blemishes, which drove me nuts. So I decided to see yet another dermatologist, and ask again for help.

Hallelujah!

This time, I got a doctor who finally sounded like he knew what he was talking about. (The last dermatologist had a one-word answer to every question I asked him: "Age." I wanted to punch him in the nose!)

Every dermatologist I had consulted about acne gave me the same strong medications used for teenage acne breakouts - extremely drying.

But the new guy told me "There's no such thing as 'Adult Acne.' If you're an adult and you have acne, it's Rosacea."

That's what caused WC Fields' nose to be large and red, so that he always looked like he'd been drinking. Bill Clinton has it, too. And left untreated for a long period of time, rosacea will cause that same red, bulbous nose, covered with little bumps. I certainly don't want that!

He started me on a treatment regimen that includes an oral capsule to take on a daily basis, and a gel to put on my face every other day. The difference was amazing. It's still not perfect (especially when I forget to take the meds), but I've noticed a definite improvement.

So, if you're an adult, and you're troubled by breakouts, see a(nother) dermatologist and ask if you have rosacea. Chances are, you do!

Once you have the right diagnosis, treatment becomes more effective.

I find that by rubbing a slightly dampened plain generic brand aspirin on any emerging blemishes that it helps stop them even before they grow into a big, ugly, sore volcano!

I learned this trick in Sue's Naturally Skinsational Skin Care Recipe Book. (Sue, I hope you don't mind that I shared this secret but I do love that it is such an easy, simple way to get rid of pimples!)

I also enjoy all the other tips and great anti-aging recipes that you feature throughout the book!

Can you tell that I'm a HUGE fan?
