Advanced Skin Care Routine
Start Layering for Great Results!

Advanced Skin Care Routine 1The advanced skin care regimen builds upon the basic skin care routine using the same treatments but builds upon the regimen by introducing an additional active anti-aging ingredient as one of the daily moisturizing treatments.

It also incorporates a treatment to treat the delicate area around the eye.

The advanced skin care routine provides the opportunity to include a wider range of rejuvenating treatments without adding any more time than it takes to complete the basic skin care regimen which addresses a much wider range of aging skin concerns.

The layering technique is nothing more than adding additional active anti-aging ingredients to your routine.

Perhaps one day there will be just one single treatment that can address all the different symptoms of aging skin but until that time the layering techniques is a great strategy to comprehensively address a variety of aging skin concerns.

The rejuvenating components of this regimen include an antioxidant, a vitamin A (retinol) treatment, a 10% concentration of glycolic acid, DMAE for firming qualities and a vitamin K treatment for the eye area.

~ Morning ~

Cleanse: Gentle cleansing for oily skin types ~ (other skin types only need to cleanse once a day so non-oily skin types begin the morning routine with toning)

Tone: Apply a skin toner with an antioxidant ingredient ~ choose just one of the following:
Moisturize: Vitamin A retinol, vitamin C and Vitamin E "combination" moisturizer with both UVA and UVB sunscreen protection- DCL Daily Moisture SPF15

Eye Treatment: Jason Vitamin K Creme Plus Therapy

~ Evening ~

Cleanse: Gentle Cleansing for all skin types, Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Ageless Cleanser is an excellent soy based anti-aging moisturizing facial cleanser.

Tone: AHA Exfoliating Toner DDF's Glycolic Acid Toner 10%

Moisturize: DMAE, ALA and Vitamin C Ester "combination" moisturizer Reviva Labs: Alpha Lipoic Acid DMAE & C Lotion

TIP ~ Consider substituting the evening AHA exfoliation with a microdermabrasion exfoliating scrub such as Micro Pearl Abrasion once or twice a week and a BHA or Glycolic Acid skin peel once a week.

If you feel like a bit of extra pampering or just want a little fun with some swirling action try one of the home microdermabrasion spa kits, like the Neutrogena Advanced Solutions At Home MicroDermabrasion System which utilizes the same aluminum-oxide crystals that the professional spa treatments use.

Once you have established a basic facial rejuvenation regimen, then start to slowly integrate the layering technique to expand your basic skin care routine into a more comprehensive strategy.

Continue to use the layering technique to build upon your skin care routine ~ sample regimens:
