Choosing Effective
Facial
Rejuvenation Treatments
What Works? The
key to successfully treating the symptoms of aging skin is choosing
effective rejuvenation treatments.
You
wouldn't take baby aspirin for a migraine, would you? Use
skin care products with clinically proven active anti-aging ingredients
in order to achieve results.
To ensure that you establish the most effective facial
rejuvenation routine there are a few tips to selecting anti-aging skin
care products.
This simple strategy is
key and will be vital to achieving success. Effective
active anti-aging ingredients:
First, consider either an antioxidant or
exfoliating toner. An exfoliating toner should contain a minimum of 8%
to a maximum of 15% concentration glycolic acid such as Neutrogena
Pore Refining Toner, Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Formula or Skinceuticals
Revitalizing Toner.
Alpha-hydroxy acids are but one of the few
clinically proven effective anti-aging treatments, of which glycolic
acid is the most popular. Although any AHA active ingredient
is a good choice to help optimize skin regeneration results.
For more sensitive skin, consider choosing an antioxidant
toner such as a Vitamin C, CoQ10, or Spin Trap. Avalon's
Perfecting CoQ-10 Toner is a good option for normal to
sensitive skin types.
Although an AHA ingredient is an important factor to
include in most effective facial rejuvenation strategies, it is also
easily found as a component of many moisturiziers that combine a number
of anti-aging ingredients in their formulation. Using a
combination moisturizer is a good strategy for sensitive skin types. If
you chose to utilize just one moisturizer, select one with a retinol,
(vitamin A), anti-aging ingredient such as Derma
E's Vitamin A Retinol Palmitate Complex. If you have a
variety of rejuvenation issues to address, it is advantageous to incorporate
a different anti-aging moisturizing product for the AM and PM.
For example, consider selecting one product
consisting of a
vitamin A component for the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles and
for the other moisturizer try a DMAE cream like Reviva
Lab's Alpha Lipoic Acid DMAE & C Lotion for its
firming properties that is combined with other active anti-aging
ingredients.
It would be helpful to carefully review the information on
Skin Rejuvenation Treatments found in the Anti-Aging
Ingredient Fact Sheet to make sure that you know what is the
proper concentration of the anti-aging ingredient to look for as you
explore facial skin care treatment product labels when making
selections for your own effective facial skin care rejuvenation plan.
